Damascus Tanto Knife

if you sand the Damascus it comes off, so it is not a true Damascus, but rather an acid etched knife, and the pins for the handle are really cheap and poorly cut. you get what you pay for and in this case it wasn't much.

We manufacture true Damascus steel and would like to point out that Damascus pattern is brought out by acid etching in modern days techniques and that sanding it could take the pattern off. You can not see the folds of the Damascus once they have been ground flat (however if you break the blade you will see its layers). This does not mean it is fake Damascus, you just need to re etch to regain pattern. Thanks
